Next, deploy the parachutes on the rover. When the third stage and the rover exits the moon, separate the rover stage and detach its cocoon when the velocity drops below 250 m/s. The third stage can have an addition to it, like a reusable rover. Then separate the capsule, and deploy the parachute and return to the Earth. Then, wait for a transfer window, and fire the engines until the perigee intersects the atmosphere. If you are planning to return to Earth, lift off from the surface of the Moon and orbit around it. The third stage must have a low thrust engine ( Valiant Engine, Kolibri Engine or a combination of both engines). If the second stage runs out of fuel while descending, separate it, and use the third stage and the rest of the journey.

It is recommended to install RCS Thrusters on the rocket for use in maneuvers which require slow movement, retrorockets for stabilizing or changing speed, or turning. It should be propelled by a low-thrust engine ( Valiant Engine, Frontier Engine). The second stage will bring the rocket to the Moon. The boosters can be ignited before the first stage fires its engine(s) to get to orbit. It is also viable to add a pair of boosters which run out of fuel first, to be decoupled with side separators (see figure 2). Have some fuel tanks, but not too much (6 wide or more is recommended). It should contain at least 1 high-thrust engine ( Hawk Engine or Titan Engine). This stage will lift the rocket to Low Earth Orbit. A Moon rocket should consist of at least 3 stages: Building a Moon rocket is quite simple compared to building longer-range rockets.
